Chaiya Katkwao (Dan) was born on March 27, 2002, in Udon Thani, Thailand. He spent his early childhood shaped by the rhythms and atmosphere of rural Thailand before moving to Bangkok, where life in a textile factory’s workers’ dormitory shaped his understanding of urban landscapes and the realities of working-class life. These shifts—from rural to urban, from simplicity to complexity—deeply informed his artistic perspective.

He later pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Chiang Mai University, where his experiences and memories culminated in Woven Memories (2025), a photographic storytelling project exploring identity, memory, and the traces of everyday life.

Today, Dan works as a Creative Producer at Ad The Top Agency in Bangkok, where he develops multi-camera productions and live content systems that bridge art direction and technical execution. His work focuses on translating visual concepts into structured production frameworks — from defining aesthetic direction to building workflows that ensure consistency and scalability across live and studio environments.

Moving fluidly between art projects, commissioned photography, and production, his practice reflects an ongoing interest in how visual language, space, and systems intersect — balancing expressive intent with practical execution.
