Chaiya Katkwao (Dan) was born on March 27, 2002, in Udon Thani, Thailand. He spent his early childhood surrounded by rice fields before moving to Bangkok, where life in a textile factory’s workers’ dormitory shaped his understanding of urban landscapes and the realities of working-class life. These shifts—from rural to urban, from simplicity to complexity—deeply influenced his artistic vision.

He later pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at Chiang Mai University, where his experiences and memories culminated in Woven Memories (2025), a photographic storytelling project exploring identity, memory, and the traces of everyday life.

Today, Dan works as an Audio / Visual Engineer at Modal Creative Studio in Bangkok, overseeing multi-camera podcast productions and crafting visual experiences that merge art, storytelling, and technical precision. His practice moves fluidly between art projects, commissioned photography, and studio production, reflecting a commitment to both creative expression and professional collaboration.
